Siril 1.4.2-HF1 #
This hot fix release is intended only for Windows users (the binaries are provided only for this OS). It addresses a bug that may affect you if your Windows profile uses wide chars, see ticket #1936 , in which case Siril could not save your preferences or download online catalogues. This was introduced by one of our dependencies which introduced this regression. This release is a simple rebuilt of 1.4.2 code with a newer version of this library.
Note on msys2/mingw64 #
As of 1.4.2, we released Siril for Windows built under both MSYS MINGW64 and UCRT64 environments. UCRT64 was marked experimental , it is now becoming the new standard. On March 15th, Msys2 have announced the deprecation of mingw64 environment . Some of Siril dependencies have already been removed from their package index and more are likely to be removed in the near future. This Hot Fix is therefore only released with the UCRT64 option, and so will be all future releases of Siril. If you are using the binaries (installer or portable) we provide, it should be transparent to you. If you are building Siril from sources on Windows, we recommend you move to UCRT64 build environment .
